Being hopeful and open to ideas...

Today I am hopeful for a lot of things...one thing in particular as I look out my window and see such a beautiful sunny day is that I am hopeful for spring and summer (meaning warmer weather, sunshine, beaches, long relaxing runs, playing basketball outside with the kids).

I bring up the word hope because that is related to many people's financial situation as well.  They hope they make more money in the future, they hope they can save for college, they hope they can pay the mortgage next month.

I strongly believe that hope is important AND I strongly believe we must take the next step and take action for that hope to come to fruition.

Today is a day that you can open up to others and listen to their ideas.  Maybe you can learn something from them.  Of course, we have to be wise and cannot just go along with everything BUT at the same time we do not know everything.  We need to learn from others.  We need to hear their ideas of how more wealth can be generated.  We need to listen as to how they made their money and then we will develop ideas as to how we can do it for ourselves.  There might even be an opportunity to model them, we don't have to reinvent the wheel to make the money we want and need.

So just when I think there is no hope and I don't want to hear it from anyone else.  I take a step back and think..wait a minute...the sun will come up tomorrow, there is another chance for me to be where I want to be, I can learn a new system, a new way or about a project that someone has.  Maybe that is the opportunity that was put in front of me to evaluate and make a decision to move forward.

Assassination of success...

GM, I just heard a great quote on a video this morning..."procrastination is the assassination of success." This is such a thoughtful quote to me because I know so many people, including myself - in rare occasions :-), who like to put things aside.

Comfort zone?

GM, today we wake up & its dark & cold. Made me think about how we need to wake up out of our comfort zone to grow, to produce. Doing the same thing all the time will not allow us to grow. Have a great day!
